More About the Founders

Ancestreats was founded by sisters, Leslie and Rachael. We’ve trotted the globe and now have our own families and kitchens in which to feed them. Leslie lives in the NYC Metro area, at sea level. Rachael lives in New Mexico, just over a mile high.

We decided to combine our love of  culture, cooking and sharing food with friends in the carved out space that is Ancestreats.

We enthusiastically enjoy fresh, homemade cuisine, and know that the fastest way to appreciate a different culture is through its food. So join our adventure in cooking, share your recipes with the other readers, and try something new in your kitchen, too.
